Hello, welcome to my website! Let me introduce myself briefly. I am Marja Hendrich and I have more than 35 years experience in education.
In recent years I have mainly focused on giving language lessons to non-native adult speakers. I gave Nt2 lessons at the ROC and taught Dutch at Dynamiek Tiel through song: “Samen Nederlands zingen”. Since June 2019 I have been teaching a group of women who are preparing for the The State Exams Dutch as a Second Language (Nt2).
Before language lessons for non-native speakers
Before I focussed on teaching Dutch language lessons to non-native speakers, I was an elementary school teacher. During my time as an elementary school teacher, I trained as a remedial teacher and internal support coordinator. After completion of several elementary school related courses, I started studying Psychology. I finished this study in 2007 with the research: “Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction; Influence on Attention and Cognitive Achievements and Well-being of Children”. I successfully applied the knowledge I gained in my research in practice with the pilot "Onderwijs & Co, Learning and Participating".
In addition to my work at a primary school, I gave music lessons and I was the conductor of the children's choirs of the Plantage, Center for the Arts (now Zinder) for more than 17 years.
